Discover Tec Diving
Why DSAT Discover Tec?
If you are thinking about technical diving but aren’t sure, DSAT Discover Tec lets you try technical diving equipment and procedures. Discover Tec experiences can also credit towards the DSAT Level I Tec Diver or Tec Deep Diver courses.
What do I need?
- PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)

Level I Tec Diver
Why DSAT Level I Tec Diver?
If you’re interested in technical diving, but haven’t yet met the prerequisites for the DSAT Tec Deep Diver course, you can consider enrolling in the DSAT Level I Tec Diver course. It is also a subcourse of the full DSAT Tec Deep Diver course.
What will I do?
You’ll learn to make gas switch, extended no-decompression dives using air and enriched air to 40 meters/130 feet. You’ll also prepare for and respond to foreseeable technical diving emergencies. Since it’s part of the Tec Deep Diver course, your DSAT Level I Tec Diver course training credits toward the DSAT Tec Deep Diver course.
What do I need?
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- PADI Enriched Air Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- PADI Deep Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- Have a minimum of 50 logged dives, of which at least 10 must be enriched air dives, 12 must be deeper than 18 meters/60 feet and at least six must be deeper than 30 meters/100 feet
- Minimum age: 18 years old

Tec Deep Diver
Why DSAT Tec Deep Diver?
The DSAT Tec Deep Diver course takes you past recreational diving and immerses you in the world of technical diving.
What will I do?
After successful completion of the DSAT Tec Deep Diver course you’ll be able to conduct gas-switch extended no-decompression dives, decompression dives and accelerated decompression dives using air and enriched air to a depth of 50 meters/165 feet. You’ll also understand the hazards and risks involved in technical diving, as well as how to prepare for and handle reasonable foreseeable technical diving emergencies.
What do I need?
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- PADI Enriched Air Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- PADI Deep Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- Have a minimum of 100 logged dives of which 20 must be enriched air dives, 25 dives must be deeper than 18 meters/60 feet and at least 15 dives must be deeper than 30 meters/100 feet

Tec Gas Blender
Why DSAT Gas Blender?
More people are diving with enriched air and this means the demand for enriched air fills is also increasing. However, there needs to be someone qualified to administer these fills to meet this demand. This is where the DSAT Gas Blender course comes in.
The DSAT Gas Blender course will train you as a qualified gas blender, allowing you to provide gas mixes to appropriately certified consumers. You’ll learn the physical properties of oxygen, its associated hazards, handling requirements and what cleaning equipment is necessary. Finally, you will learn the five methods of obtaining the desired enriched air nitrox mix and the various methods used to obtain proper helium mixes.

TDI Intro Tec Diving
Why TDI Intro to Tec?
The TDI Intro to Tech course is the perfect course for divers who have heard about technical diving and want to find out more about this exciting branch of advanced recreational diving. This course walks students through the special techniques, planning procedures and skills that set technical diving apart from traditional sport diving. It will show them how to improve their dive planning methods, in-water skills and streamline their existing gear configuration, in a non-threatening and fun learning environment.

TDI Advanced Nitrox
Why TDI Advanced Nitrox?
The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 to a depth of 40 metres/130 feet during dives hat do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, this can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career. Advanced Nitrox is also a great course for those wanting to extend their bottom times in shallower depths such as scientific diver, and a must for SCR or CCR divers.

TDI Decompression Procedures
Why DSAT Tec Deep Diver?
As sport divers planned decompression is not something that we do or have been taught. The TDI Decompression Procedures course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving. With a maximum operating depth of 45m/150 feet, this course is your first step beyond the normal sport diving limits.
The TDI Decompressions Procedures course combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox course form the foundation of all other technical courses. After these two courses and some additional experience, the stage has been set for you to move onto additional technical levels.
